Natural-Look Protective Wax

FILA MATT is a natural-look protective wax used for the maintenance of terracotta, unglazed clinker tile, tumbled marble and natural stone floors and to achieve a matt finish. It is the ideal finishing coat after the application of a water-based, water-repellent protector. Indoors, it is also ideal for preventing flaking and consolidating the surface on brick and natural stone walls and on plaster, artificial stone and concrete decorative coverings.

Its highly concentrated formula can be diluted as required; it has excellent self-levelling properties on the surface. It repels dirt and dust, is completely removable and can be buffed to achieve a satin look. A MATT finishing coat preserves at least 90% of breathability compared with an untreated surface. It can also be used on unpolished agglomerate stone, tuff and resin surfaces.

4-Step Application

Application

Protect Floors and Walls

Dilute slightly by adding 200 ml of water to each litre of product. Apply an even coat to the clean, dry surface with a plush application pad (with a brush on walls) and allow it to dry completely (approximately 1 hour). Apply the second coat at right angles to the first; the floor can be walked on after 1 hour. On terracotta and highly absorbent natural stone, it is recommended to first apply a water-repellent protective primer such as FOB XTREME or W68.
Restore the Finishing Coat

Every 2-3 months, clean the surface with CLEANER PRO diluted 1:200. Dilute 500 ml of MATT in 5 litres of water and apply; the floor can be walked on once it is dry.
Renew the Protection

Strip the wax from the surface with PS87 PRO diluted 1:5 and rinse. Once the floor is dry, apply the wax slightly diluted (200 ml of water to each litre of product).
Prevent Flaking

Apply one even coat of undiluted MATT to the dry surface with a brush. The treated surface dries in approximately 1 hour.

Safe Use

Points to Consider

To use the product safely and at maximum efficiency, please read the following points carefully before application.

Do not walk on the floor while it is drying; do not reapply product to areas that have not yet dried.
To remove this wax, use the special wax stripper PS87 PRO.
Do not use on outdoor surfaces, in damp environments or in places where water may collect (bathrooms, showers).
The product may alter the appearance of the material; first carry out a test on a small area to check for possible changes.
The product is sensitive to frost; store under the conditions indicated on the label.
Keep out of the reach of children; do not discharge the product into the environment after use.
Storage: 5-30 °C; surface during application: 10-30 °C (surface temperature).
